Selfie Mohamed Salah is having his best season with Liverpool FC in 2024-2025. From leading The Reds to the Premier League title, topping the English league’s goal-scoring charts for now, and securing a contract extension until 2027.
In addition to these achievements, there is also the iconic celebration performed by the player known as The Egyptian King. It was when he scored a goal against Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday (27/4) at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool.
The match ended with a 5-1 score for Liverpool. Salah scored the fourth goal for the 20-time English league champions.
After scoring the goal, Salah celebrated by taking a selfie with the fans at Anfield. As reported by The Athletic, Salah used a device belonging to one of Liverpool’s staff members who was behind the Tottenham goal at the time.
The device Salah used for the selfie also gained popularity. Google Pixel, as a sponsor of Liverpool, saw its popularity soar.
“Salah’s celebration is genius. From a social analysis perspective, he created a trend that will become a hype in the future. From an economic perspective, Salah boosted the brand of the device he used,” praised Ross Hardie, founder and CEO of Player One Sports & Entertainment.
